My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

OUR MINISTRY

Hello friends and family. I cannot let this month of February, 2018 go by without telling you something about our ministries now that the blog is going into its sixth year and our prayer and bible study group is celebrating its fifth year. We give God thanks because through these ministries we feel God’s hand guiding and helping us; I am content and happy seeing my wonderful family united and working together. Some of us help in one way and some in others but there isn’t anyone who doesn’t contribute even little bit and every little bit is worth an immeasurable amount as we have mentioned on various occasions. The blog is our longest effort through which the Lord blessed my husband, Jose Joaquin, who enjoyed it greatly for two years (from 2011 to 2012); while he did not fully understand it, he experienced joy at the ability to share his writings through such a powerful medium as the Internet.
We are also blessed to be able to publish in English which has been a great success allowing more people to have access to these writings. My hope is that you don’t let a month go by without reading the messages and sharing them with someone; it would be a great help that requires little effort and I’d like to thank you for sharing in advance.

Now let us discuss our Skype prayer and bible study group. I am content and satisfied to see the whole family diligently collaborating on this commitment, not with myself but with the Lord. So thank you for this great gesture of kindness in 2017. My only request is punctuality: Please remember that we host it every night at eight, Eastern Standard Time.

Lord we are a generation that you have greatly blessed and greatly loved. We made a commitment in that in 2018 we would ask you for wisdom, but not a scientific or worldly wisdom but instead heavenly wisdom from on high that would illuminate our minds so that we could better understand your manual (the Bible) and your words because it is the only way to attain eternal life: it is true wisdom. Lord, change all the hearts that reside in darkness and bring them into your light. Let love, peace, and faith enter their hearts so that they can work with You to attain salvation for the World.

With love,

Maria Fanny Agudelo
