My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

                                                                         I
Brothers, we are at the Pentecost of the 21st century,
let`s go with the Lord because he has infinite tenderness.
                                              II
You won’t escape Lord of the invitations that we give to you,
in this great joy of love that we want.
                                             III
You cannot hide the great virtues of the blessed God,
with delight He loves us like if we were pretty.
                                              IV
You're our guest of honor,
with much happiness and joy to reach the Lord.
                                              V
We are going to Heaven we cannot doubt,
because the horizons are beautiful Father God, if we are on roads that You give us.
                                             VI
The friendship with the Lord we cannot change,
for all the riches of this world nor even
beyond.
                                            VII
All details of life we offer You Father God,
with joy and rejoicing in complete peace.
                                              VIII
The last moments of our life I do not know how we are going to endure,
because we know that sometimes may come severe pain and discomfort very large.
But the charm of knowing who we are going to meet,
we fill with joy and great happiness.
                                               IX
Father God how we thank you for these details of love,
which are yours and nobody else's work, thank you very much my Lord.
Sincerely  your friend in the Lord.

JUST GIVE ME, JESUS

Philip said to him: Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us. Jesus answered:  I have been so long with you, and you have not known me, Philip? Who has seen me has seen the Father, how can you say show us the Father? Do not you think I am in the Father and the Father is in me? ... Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; otherwise believe me for the works themselves.
                                                              John 14: 8-11

Beloved family, friends and dear Blog readers, today I want to share something beautiful that wrote Anne Graham, daughter of well-known pastor and evangelist Billy Graham. Have you ever heard that we cannot be afflicted while having faith? Would it be possible to rely on God and feel distressed? Billy Graham answered; yes, although it’s hard to believe that recognizing your hopelessness before God can be a statement of faith. King David prayed like this "although I am very distressed I still believe in God." This happened because God allowed David to write what he felt and God still loved him. Now enjoy what Anne Graham wrote:

How did the apostle John know that in the beginning of a new millennium, our lives would be so busy, our calendar would be so full, our attention would be so divided, our body would be so tired, our minds would be so bombed, our family would be so attacked, our relationships would be so tense, our churches would be as scheduled, and we'd be desperate for simplicity, purity, freedom and life satisfaction in his name? How John knew that with the amount of things we have in the Church to celebrate the birthday two thousand of Christ, we'd still be thirsty for water of live and hungry for the bread of life? No, I do not think that the apostle John knew, but God knew it; that is why He gives us Jesus. Look how Jesus Christ makes God visible in all its fullness. JESUS is God because

1) His strength is enduring.
2) His sensitivity is complete.
3) His stability is eternal.
4) His goodness is immortal.
5) Your power is sovereign.
6) Your mercy is impartial.
7) He is the Son of God.
8) He is savior of sinners.
9) He is the one who rescues the captives.
10) He is the breath of life.
11) He is the center of civilization.
12) He is the majestic, He is unique.
13) He is unique and He is unmatched.
14) He is unquestionable and He is uncontaminated.
15) He is the first and He is unbeatable.
16) He is the sublime idea of philosophy.
17) He is the highest personality psychology.
18) He is the supreme subject of literature.
19) He is the inevitable problem of the criticism.
20) He is the fundamental doctrine of theology.
21) He is the miracle of the ages.
22) He is the cornerstone, the ornamental and the stumbling block of all religion.
23) He is the greatest prodigy that has crossed the horizons of the globe.
24) He makes visible God.
JESUS makes visible God to everybody without doubt because Jesus is God and man. So if you want to know what is in the mind of God, then look to Jesus. Do you want to learn and know God's Will? Then look to Jesus. Do you want to know what's in the heart of God? Then look to Jesus. JESUS is the exact revelation of what is in the mind, the heart and the will of God.

Not only these 24 reasons show that Jesus is God, but He is God because He has always been the Great I Am. He is the true and eternal God. He is eternal life. JESUS is the supreme true God who gives us his inexhaustible, sweet and pleasant peace because sorrows and anxieties Christ kills. Are you hungry and thirsty for justice? Come to JESUS. Do you feel troubled with your past or your future? Come to JESUS. Do you feel alone and helpless in this world? Come to JESUS. Do you feel tied down and oppressed by the enemy? Come to JESUS. Do you feel tired, anxious, and hopeless? Come to JESUS. Do you feel broken, sick, and weak? Come to JESUS. Do you feel persecuted, mocked, and rejected? Come to JESUS. When I experience any of these feelings I come to Jesus because He is my refuge and He is the answer to each of my needs. He alone is enough for me. Just give me JESUS and that is enough! Friend, do you want to look to JESUS right now? He’s waiting for you with open arms.

With love,

MANY EVERLASTING HOPES

We are in your holy presence oh Lord with many everlasting hopes. Father God, protect us as the little girl of your eyes and cover us with the divine majesty of your love. Will there be a great happiness such that knowing that Heaven belongs to us and that nothing and no one can snatch this divine possession? We cannot change it for all the gold in the world; it really is a limitless wealth and has infinite value.
Where did you get such a beautiful idea as to fill the heaven with pure souls that You prepared from eternity?
How did You come up with something so nice that the souls are beings like the angels in heaven for your celestial company? Where did you get such a beautiful idea to create me and all the people that follow you with great madness of love? We cannot wait and like madmen march to reach the delights of the Lord.
Hallelujah, hallelujah Lord, Father God we grabbed you and we will not let you go until we're there. That little business above where You are, we accept it with joy because it is a beautiful gift You give us. So we consider it because it is a beautiful place where You are going to take us.
Sincerely,
José Joaquín  Agudelo G.

THE GOLDEN RULE

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sum up the Law and the Prophets.                Matthew 7:12
Dear family and dear Blog readers, today I present a summary of a beautiful Sunday sermon done by pastor Jerry Brooks in OCAG, July 20, 2014.
I want to share it with you because it’s important to refresh our memory regarding this rule of God. I've heard several times on this issue, but not in this very specific and masterly manner. I hope you not only pleasing, but also put it into practice in your life that the Lord gave you on this earth.
Comparing the Golden Rule that Jesus Christ left us in His Word to other religions such as Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and followers of Confucius among others, I found a big difference in all of them as the rule says we cannot make any damage to our neighbors, but just stay there. Instead the golden rule of Christians, the golden rule that Jesus Christ left us His Word tells us to "treat our neighbors as we would like them to treat us".
Note that this rule of Jesus Christ is better than any other, because they are told that they conform to not hurt anyone, while Jesus Christ commands us to always do good; even our enemies, those who hurt us and mistreat us because if we only do good to those we love, we do nothing unusual as this so do sinners. So, we must return good for evil. Actually there are three rules: a rule of "iron” in which people do what they want. They introduce what they want forcefully; in this group are gangs, criminals, dictators and terrorists. There is also a rule of silver of "silver", that people of all religions, who do not follow Jesus Christ, practice it. Remember that for them it’s enough just to not harm anyone, this is his silver rule. But instead the true golden rule, which Jesus Christ left us in his Word, is very clear and it tells us to do good to our neighbor because we wish the same for us.
Note also the parable of the Good Samaritan. It clearly shows the three rules. To the rule of "iron" belong all assailants, wicked, who feel very strong themselves. And to the rule of "silver" belong the priest and the Levite who said they tell us not to hurt anybody, but we haven’t done this and passed by. Then came the good Samaritan and thought, JESUS tells us to do to others as we would like them do unto us. Although it was not the hurt man was not from Samaria, the good Samaritan cleaned his wounds and took him to the hotel where he told them to take care of him. This is the true "golden rule". The three rules are: iron, silver and gold. I hope none of this in regulation silver and much less in the iron. My hope is that we all follow the golden rule, that of Jesus Christ and his footsteps. Do not forget that we came to this earth with a mission to serve others and we must make every heart a clean print.

Practically the golden rule can be summarized in one word: LOVE. The apostle Paul expresses this through their different letters: Love is the fulfilling of the law, all the commandments are summarized in LOVE, love is the perfect bond between people, love covers a multitude of sins / faults, the love never hurt anyone, and LOVE NEVER CEASE TO BE, because we take it from now until eternity. LOVE empowers us to practice the golden rule; do you want to receive this power, friend? Turn to Jesus now.
