YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

ALL of God’s things are beautiful and fill our hearts with love and care; that is why, O LORD, we give you our lives wholeheartedly. Examine your life and your heart, for all that is wrong carries a horrid spiritual stench. It is really when we make that 180 degree turn away from our wicked ways and toward the Lord Jesus that we truly enjoy life (this is called repentance). Let’s observe in detail what would happen because of our stubbornness to repent, for Heaven is very beautiful and Hell very atrocious.

Let us choose Heaven and choose life by repenting of our wrongs and believing; but remember that this is a choice you MUST make – your parents can’t make it for you, your friends can’t make it for you, no one can make it for you; you must make it YOURSELF! Choose Jesus & find life; but if you keep on doing what you know is wrong, you will reap destruction. I already made my decision for Christ, and I wish and pray that you would do so as well so that we could meet each other in that wonderful, beautiful place called Heaven. Don’t lose this opportunity – call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved.

I’ll keep on writing words of care and love because that’s the language the Lord gave me. Thank You Father God for this temporary time you have given us to live on this earth;

O that we would go to the place of our choosing after death and that no one would stop us!

This relationship with our LORD brings us great joy. Some times because of my old age I forget a lot of things – but the one thing I never forget is that You, Jesus, are my God and Savior-Lord. You are our delight, Oh Beautiful-Purity, Father-God!

ABOUT THE FATHER

Hello dear friends and family of the Blog, today I want to talk to you about our Heavenly Father; but allow me to start this message with a personal experience that I had on “Father’s Day” on June 19, 2016.

When we got together for our daily Family Devotion, eight families joined us (which is more than usual), via Skype from distant places such as Guatemala, Colombia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and of course here in Florida, where most of our children live. I feel so blessed by God that my husband and I, who is now in Heaven, gave birth to so many wonderful children. I believe that my husband is waiting for us in Heaven, for he always said: “If God allows me to, when I’m in Heaven I will take list of all my children and their families to see that no one is missing”. That night the devotional was really sensational; since it was Father’s Day, my son, German, talked to us about very profound things about the character of our Heavenly Father, the care that He has for us, and how much He loves us.

Let’s take just one of these themes: The character of God.

The character of our Heavenly Father is HOLINESS. For it is written, “be holy as I your God am holy.”(1^st Peter 1:16) And he adds:

And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.” For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. (1^st Peter 1:17-19)

 Our Creator and Maker is holy, holy, holy; and that’s exactly how we’re all supposed to be.

That’s how all the earthly fathers should be, realizing their great responsibility as the head of the FAMILY, which is the base of society. They should realize that the best way to raise our kids is by teaching them the reverent fear of the LORD and giving them a lot of love and spending quality time with them. Of course, we can’t forget about discipline, for whom the LORD loves, He corrects. I think there are many ways of applying discipline and you should always remember that children obey more out of love than out of fear; that’s why moral punishment hurts more that physical punishment. Remember that you can’t improvise experience. I am 82 years old and have a wonderful family: 11 children, 13 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, and this is not the first time I’ve said this and neither is it the first time I’ve said my desire for all of them; so what is my desire? That they all start to help out, as some of them already have, with our ministries: this blog and the daily Family Devotion via Skype; always remembering that if our bodies need food on a daily basis, so do our spirits. All I have left to tell my dear children is, thank you for all of your help; I would have never been able to do anything on my own although I love these two ministries. Don’t forget, united we can accomplish a lot.

I don’t want to finish without giving all the people that read this blog a challenge: It’s true that God is requiring holiness of all of us, but you, man, have an even greater responsibility before the sight of God – to conduct yourself, your wife, your kids, and all under your authority in HOLINESS. Are you really doing what you ought to be doing?
