My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015

Psalms 90:12 (NKJV)
“Teach us to number our days aright,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Dear family and cherished readers of the Blog,
I would like to remind you that we should analyze the mistakes we have made during 2014 so that we can correct them. But more than that we should remember the things we have done that have offended the Lord, so that we can ask Him for mercy and forgiveness. Let’s not forget that we are in the era of grace. This means that while we are alive we can call out to the Lord and He will hear us. After He calls us, the only right we have is to tell Him of all the right and wrong things we have done. When He calls us to His presence we will have to answer for our lives and all the good and bad things we did throughout our time on Earth.

Also we should give thanks to the Lord for all the blessings we received in 2014 which has passed to never return. Remember that those who are thankful receive many blessings. Lord, I ask that the doors of Heaven may open for this wicked and restless world and that your angels surround and keep us from the many out-of-control and confused people in this world that already contains more than 7 billion people.
I ask that you may send us amazing opportunities for all the years to come in ways we can’t imagine. Remove all bad memory and any seeds of bitterness and give our minds clarity so that in 2015 we may understand, grow, and experiment your divine love. Lord Jesus, open our eyes and our hearts to know you more, to know more of your word, and to put it into practice.
Let rain down on us of the wisdom you gave Solomon, the bravery of king David, the eloquence of the apostle Paul, but most of all fill us with your peace and tranquility because we have been tired and burdened. That is why we come before you today, so that you may help us rest.

Don’t forget that when we pray we talk to God, but when we read His word, it is He who talks to us. I don’t know what your goals may be, but I invite you to join my resolution for this year. I think that the most important resolution is to read the Bible in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit for wisdom and also that the Lord may use us with power in order to impact the world.

Have a happy and blessed new year 2015

With love,
