REACHING OUT TO HEAVEN: LET US REFLECT ON OUR EXISTENCE

My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

LET US REFLECT ON OUR EXISTENCE

The Lord is our longing

to live and to understand,

the greatness of our Master,

full of love and power.

The morning sun,

how brightly it shines!

Like the sun of our life,

that never ceases to shine.

We are filled with joy

and also with wonder,

as we journey through life

while these moments pass by.

Our heart bows down

before the power of the Gospel;

it is wondrous to behold

the things of eternity.

Our King is the Lord,

there is no doubt at all;

let us journey with Him,

for His tenderness is infinite.

And why do I exist?

I always ask myself this question;

the answer is clear:

because Someone willed it so,

and truly, I have a Master.

I was born in Colombia in the early twentieth century. I have a wonderfully large family, my joy in this life. The members of my family are: my 11 children, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, five sons in law, 4 daughters in law, and the spouses of grandchildren. My family is always growing, thanks to God.

Although I did not complete studies, I have learned a lot in the struggle for existence. Do not forget that the best college is "life itself". I thank our Father God for allowing me to enjoy this 21st century technology to share what He has given me.
