My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

ANGER OR RAGE

Family and Friends, today I want to tell you about something very common happening to all of us: Anger. Anger or rage, whatever you want to call it, does us a lot of harm. It is an emotional state that can have very devastating consequences for oneself and for others; so it is very important to learn to control it properly. It is normal to associate anger with something external, but the first step is to accept the emotion and be responsible for it without blaming anyone. Remember, we are not guilty of what others do, but how we react ourselves. Do not feel guilty for feeling angry because it is an emotional state providing information, but this should not remain a long time. "Be angry, but do not sin; let not the sun go down upon your wrath "(Ephesians 4:26). So analyze, where does it come from? Why do I feel this way? Allow yourself to learn things from yourself and control yourself and move forward. Learn how to express your anger in a productive way. Do not leave them inside you as they will affect your thoughts and emotions favoring the appearance of more anger and rage, but do not give them free rein shooting poison everywhere. Rather, try to develop assertive styles of communication that allow you to express your opinions and defend yourself while respecting others. We must take in consideration that when these states of alteration or excessive rages appear, it is because our defense mechanism has been activated always activating before different circumstances. When we cannot control the
situation we feel helpless, we become irritated and we can get to the outbreak. When things are not as we would like,
when we do not accept that things are as they are, then we feel disappointed and that is precisely what connects directly with anger or rage causing us to attack the situation and the most delicate against people. Therefore, we must express what we feel and what we think, but with assertiveness without offending the one in front of us. We must accept that we do not have control of everything, we can only control ourselves reacting differently in different situations and we cannot change the others. We must also be empathic, that is, learn to put yourself in the other's place to understand what is what led you to behave that way. Being understanding helps us to be more tolerant. Do not forget that we should only build walls of love instead of walls of separation and do the best for others without expecting anything from them and in this way things will flow as calm as the waters. We must also try to return to the simplicity of life, to the light and spontaneous, because there, is the basis of harmony and the encounter with our Father God. Remember, the world does not change with our opinions, but we must put our gold granite controlling our character, asking wisdom to the Holy Spirit to be able to transform the world around us being light and salt.
How are you managing your emotions, your character, your thoughts, your feelings and your will? Remember that all this lies in your soul. And if you give your soul to JESUS CHRIST, He will take control of your life. That is worth it!

                            With love,
