My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

BEING GRATEFUL

Hello family and friends, did you know that gratitude is the beginning of abundance? So be grateful for being alive, for your family, for your health, and to God who owns everything. Our purpose in this life should be to help everyone. Remember that giving a smile does a lot of good and that the joy in your life depends on God and the quality of your thoughts. Great and beautiful things can happen to you if you trust in God's mercy. Say no to discouragement, because He fills you with His grace as you open your heart to Him. His love for you is so great that if you allow it, He could help you destroy any trace of anxiety that tries to take hold of your heart.

Did you know that the most beautiful blessings are those obtained through prayer and displayed with gratitude? Sometimes life tests us not to reveal our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths. So never give up, because you don't know if the next attempt will work.

I want to tell you that I have asked God in prayer to have mercy on everyone during these difficult times, changing the hearts of stone in some people into hearts of flesh, like His own. Lord, teach me to give hugs that caress the souls of those who suffer, so that they may heal; restore their joy, and they may support others who have fallen. Also, allow me to send spiritual hugs that embrace those I love, even from afar. Today, Lord, we give thanks for life, the earth, and the sun. Today, Lord, we want to sing of the greatness of your love. Thank you, Father, my life is your life, your hands mold my clay, my soul is your divine breath, your smile is in my eyes. Thank you, Father, you watch over my steps, you are the light and the path that leads my destiny to you, just as you lead the rivers to the sea. We all want to reach our heavenly homeland and enjoy your presence for eternity.

With love,

                Maria Fanny Agudelo
