Hello family and friends of the Blog. I think that I have spoken to you about many topics, but for young people, such an important group for society, I have not written anything until now. Could it be that they are a little apathetic to spiritual things? I hope not because this message goes directly to them without leaving the other groups out.
I tell you that when the apostle Paul wrote the epistle to Titus about his duty as a pastor, he mentioned young people as a class of people who required special attention. I invite you to discuss some advice from this epistle and from an ancient writer named Ryle (1816-1900).
Young man, do not forget that your enemy is powerful; the Bible calls him the prince of the world or Satan. Take care not to fall into his net as he will try to throw dust in your eyes to prevent you from seeing how things really are. He will also try to make you believe that evil is good and good is evil.
Young man, little do you know the danger you run with this enemy that never sleeps and is always looking for someone to grab. Experience is a costly school, and it is the only place where the stubborn learn.
Pride is the oldest sin, as it occurred in heaven before the foundation of the world. Satan and his followers, out of pride, were not satisfied where God had them. Therefore pride gave hell the first inhabitants. Young man, watch your thoughts that you may be sure of your actions; consider your ways, reflect, be wise, and consider what you do and where you are going. Do not forget that there are few original thinkers, most follow their idol leaders and what is fashionable. The opinion of the day becomes their religion, their belief, and their god. I wish you would break these ties and throw these chains away from you. Never be ashamed of being seen looking for God, nor of doing the right thing. Please only God and He will make others pleased with
you. Keep JESUS CHRIST in mind as the treasure of your soul. If you want to run to reach the goal, go to Him. I hope this is your number one priority without forgetting that nothing is as important as your soul, because it will live forever. No job is good for you if it hurts your soul.
Think for a moment what you were created for; be sure it was for something big. You were created to train you for eternity. You were created for the praise of the glory of the Lord. This is God's purpose. The main purpose of men is to glorify God and enjoy Him fully and forever.
Do not forget that in passing through this world there are many difficulties, but many young people from the past have overcome them and you must overcome them too. They were people like you and faced obstacles, controlled desires,
endured temptations; and despite everything it was possible for them to serve God. So strive to serve the Lord and resist the devil. The Lord will give you strength because He loves to meet those who strive to seek Him. Determine that the Bible will be your permanent adviser because it contains both God's merciful providence for the sinner's soul, and the map that you must use to choose the course of your life. Do not have friends who are not friends of God. Do not forget
that leisure brings bad thoughts, vain fantasies, and is the open door for the devil to enter. In times of discouragement remember the promises of the Lord. Pray anywhere because through prayer we receive food that gives life to the soul. Without prayer we are dead to God. Make prayer the best moments of your life because you talk to the one who loves you the most, God. Consecrate your youth to Him, it's worth it.
