Hello family and friends. This time I want to tell you about my old age. Did you know that a mother's best masterpiece is her children? I tell you that a long time ago I told one of my older daughters that she didn't need me, but that I did need her, and that I wanted her to stay with me. Thank God she is with me and continues to help me with my ailments and my old age. She asks her sisters for help. Both she and they do it with a lot of love, with that true and strong love that is needed to deal with the elderly, the sick and children. I pray that God continue to bless my wonderful family forever. I think that this is how our relationship with Jesus Christ should be; we cannot separate ourselves from Him because we would fall into immense problems.
Please don't forget that the happiest people don't have all the best, they just do the best they can with what they have. The only thing that we take away from this life is the amount of love that we were able to give. Intelligence is not measured by the words you know how to pronounce, but by those you do not say so as not to hurt. Being humble does not mean being poor, it means that in scarcity and in abundance you are the same person, grateful, happy and generous. Did you know that the truth suffers but never dies? When the situation is good, enjoy it; when the situation is bad, transform it; but if you can't transform it, transform yourself.
A plea from an elderly mother: Son, take me to the park, because I still have the strength to walk with you and I will not feel old; talk to me with affection, son, do not get upset, we old women are like children, we like to be smiled without slight; celebrate my occurrences, do not criticize my follies, I will try to be brave even if bitterness arises. Do not get away from me so often. Do not talk to me deceitfully, I still have my mind clear, the memories are of yesteryear. Come see me frequently, my son, I do not ask you for anything, only your presence to contemplate your face. Do not leave me sad and alone and do not take me to those places, because the doctors are wrong, the pain is in the soul.
I thank God that he has allowed me to see my eleven children grow up, also thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Thank you, my God, because I can see, hear, write, and walk, and still take care of myself, but above all for this beautiful life that you have given me, because I have been very blessed by You Lord.
If you are in old age, adulthood, youth, adolescence, or childhood, whatever the stage of your present life, enjoy it with JESUS in your heart!
With love,
Maria Fanny Agudelo
