My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

YEAR 2019 - 2020

Hello family and friends. I want to tell you that this year 2019 my family and I have been very blessed by the Lord, so we are very grateful to Him. I repeat: “the grateful one prepares new benefits.” There was everything: Purchases of houses, surgeries, approval of exam for Medicine career, United States residence card (Green card), and reconciliations and forgiveness.
We also observe that the characterization of 2019 for us was travel. There were trips to lands as far away as China, Italy, and Africa, but also to Colombia. Remember we cannot go back to the past, but we can always do something for the future. I would have liked that many things would have been different, but not everything can be chosen in this life; the only choice we have is to go forward looking for the heavenly homeland and never give up.
Remember: nothing is forever! The ice melts, the sun goes down, the ashes are carried away by the wind and people return to the place of origin. There are three very important keys: Pray, trust and wait. If you find one of your loved ones crying, don't ask: what's wrong with you? Just hold him tight and let him know that he is not alone, that the Holy Spirit is with him and never abandons him. So cheer up and give love and comfort. This would be a very valuable act to start the year 2020 and thus leave, in passing through this land, beautiful footprints and no scars.
Now let's focus on the year which is starting or twenty-twenty, as politicians call it. We could ask the Lord in this new year for many things, but there are only two that are important: The first is that he does not let us deviate from the path, He can since he already told us that He is the path, that there is no other; the second would be health and strength not to faint in the passage through this life. We must not wait for the perfect moment to look for the Lord, just look for the moment and make it perfect, for only Him is who take you to Heaven. So the list for the Lord this New Year is eternal life and health to rejoice with loved ones.
Think about this: Following Jesus Christ is not only worth it, it’s life, too. My husband always said: What a great business it is to follow Jesus Christ! I want you to know that who sows service reaps gratitude; who sows truth reaps confidence; who sows love reaps happiness. I tell you that miracles occur when we replace complaints with prayer and fears with faith.
May the Lord fill you with blessings always and help you to fulfill the resolutions.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020 for everyone, everyone!
With love,
               Maria Fanny Agudelo
