My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

IT IS A DELIGHT TO CALL FATHER GOD “BEAUTIFUL

When you help a needy soul, God’s not slow to bless you back. Because believe it or not, there are some people who are not saved, and that is not pleasing to God, and it ought neither to be pleasing to us. Our great desire is that all be well and whole. These are the thoughts that the Lord gives me. Doubtless, we love you oh God. Our desire is that all fare well. But we’ll leave it to God, this business of salvation, but don’t deny us that true peace which thou dost give, oh God in Heaven. In hard times, in which we are overcome with despair, worry not my brothers, for there is more that we cannot yet see.
In Heaven they sing “Hallelu-Yah!” And we here on Earth sing as well. Because in Heaven we’ll all feel the same before God our Father. My great desire is that tons of souls go along praising the Lord. Therefore I recommend to you my friends that you take the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart because he is the only one who can grant us salvation. Just as ya hear it brother, it’s that easy.
Father God, I am disquieted in the theme of holiness; I am not content with a little; give me more.
Cordially,
Jose Joaquin Agudelo G.

Thankful to God 2017

Hello family and friends. We cannot dismiss this year without making a stop to thank God for so many wonders that he did with us these 365 days.
Oh God, your name is my honor, the glory assures me. Your name is my passport, it assures me access. Your name is my supplication, it assures me the answer. Let us not forget that daily prayer places the promises of God as seeds in fertile soil, because prayer gives them body, precipitates them and makes them particular for personal use. All of us who make up this Family Devotional from Casa de Oración el Rinconcito (House of Prayer in the Lil’ Corner) via Skype, we are very happy and grateful to the Lord that this year 2017 we have made many supplications and He has answered most of them.
Do not forget that the grateful one prepares new blessings. Today, December 30, 2017 I want to tell you beautiful and wonderful things that happened to me on October 23 of this same year. It turns out that I went to bed worried for the same reason, but I took my worry and placed it in the hands of God and I slept peacefully. The evil one woke me up at four in the morning wanting to bother me again with the little problem. Then I said to myself, God with me, who is against me? It was at that moment that the Lord told me, do not worry, but rather remember so many blessings that I have given you and you forgot to thank me. I felt very sorry, but at that moment it occurred to me that on January 3 of this year I fell and damaged my left arm. It was so much pain and anguish to feel as if I were abandoned by Him. This was the first miracle of 2017. Afterwards I kept remembering many more that at this moment it is difficult to tell them for being a long list.
Keep in mind that the Lord works with you, but not for you. Being humble and grateful allows Him to lead your way. Humility is the basis of all true greatness. So, if you want happiness, give happiness to others; if you want love, learn to love; if you want attention and appreciation, learn to give attention. Do not forget, life is like a mirror. Everything you give comes back to you. Be a mirror of love for others and you will have a happy life. To be great you must first learn to be small. For those who have faith, there is no luck, there is God. For those who have God, there is no defeat, there is victory. For those who believe, there is no impossibility, there is the power of God. Observe that the Lord was right. There are many answered prayers and we had not given thanks for them. I say "we" because we are many who make this Devotional, offspring, family, or rather this small church. Remember to always be grateful to God and to our fellow human beings. Happy 2018!
              With love,
