My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

GOD GAVE ME INFINITE DESIRES OF LOVE

Conversations with Thee, O God, are what I like to write, and I’d like to say more, but I am not capable. Savior, my relationship with Thee gives me so much bliss and peace. Holy Father, we know that you cannot despise your own creation, therefore we feel secure about your friendship with us. Blessed be the days of life that the Lord is granting us, for we know that everything that we do in this lifetime has eternal consequences.
You created us to be holy and that’s a beautiful purpose and we ask You that You please help us to fulfill such an important purpose. We won’t grow weary of thanking You wholeheartedly. If the rest we get on our beds makes us feel great, how much greater shall the eternal rest in the loving arms of God for eternity be!
I just can’t stop thinking about this amazing thing: after our lives are over, we will go to the place that we chose during our lifetime – heaven or hell. Which one do you chose? In case you want to follow me: I’m going to be with the Lord in that glorious place called heaven & I will not change my mind. I wish that uncountable millenniums of people would come with me. Infinite yearnings of love are the language that the Lord gave unto me.
Cordially,
Jose Joaquin Agudelo

IN LIFE NOT IN DEATH

Hello friends and family of the blog; the first part of this article is anonymous and I decided to finish it off to show it to you. This article is about a very sad reality in our society, but let’s have it very clear so that we won’t commit these same mistakes in our own lives.
Don’t wait till your loved ones die to show love towards them because they’d rather spend a few minutes with you while they’re alive than, have you spend a whole night with them the day they die. They’d rather have you hold their hand while their alive than have you hug them when they’re dead. They’d rather get a loving phone call while they’re alive and not have you go on an unexpected trip to the grave. They prefer that you would give them one flower while they’re alive instead of a beautiful bouquet of flowers when they’re dead.
They prefer one prayer lifted up to God for them while they’re alive than a million prayers when they’re gone. They prefer a few words of encouragement now than a beautiful poem when they won’t be able to hear it. They prefer a song while they’re alive than a great epitaph on their tomb. They prefer to enjoy their loved ones in the little details of life instead of being shown great manifestations of love when their dead.
Some more advice: Don’t fill their house with flowers; instead fill their hearts with love. Take every opportunity you have to show a great and pure love for your loved ones giving them time even when you feel that you have no time. Never forget that this life is short and temporary. Whoever does not value what he has will someday groan about losing it. Whoever does evil will someday receive justice. If you want to receive something you must give part of yourself for it. Don’t forget that God is good and looks upon your sorrow now and says: “The hard times are now past because I came to give you life and life in abundance.” Please receive this message because it is for you. We are here temporarily. Death is not the end; our bodies will stay in the grave but our souls, which are eternal, will leave the body and go to their eternal destiny.
Because you and I are sinners we deserve spiritual death (eternal separation from God), but since God had mercy and didn’t want us to have to spend an eternity away from Him, He sent His son Jesus Christ to come and take the punishment for our sins: DEATH. Jesus died to cleanse you from your sins so that you could be eternally with God in heaven. He then rose from the dead to give us hope and to prove His divinity. He already paid the penalty for your sins, which is death; all you have to do is tell Him right now that you accept Him as Lord of your life and that you believe that what He did on that cross that day has power to cleanse you from your sins. You can tell Him right now in prayer:
Lord Jesus,
I know that I have failed you and have strayed from your will. I believe that you died for my sins and I thank you for such great love and sacrifice. Forgive me, Lord, for my sins. I ask that you please come into my heart and save me from condemnation. I desire to know you and I willingly receive you as my Lord, my Father, and my Savior. In Jesus’ name,
     Amen.
With love,
Maria Fanny Agudelo
