My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

THE SEASONS OF LIFE

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in Him.
Psalm 92: 12-15
Dear family and friends of the Blog, while the youth is a stage that passes very quickly, and it’s remembered for some people with nostalgia, I want to talk to you to enjoy the different seasons of life since I have gone through all of them. Every season of life teaches us very important things that I want to share with you. I hope you understand, practice, and enjoy them.

Youth is a brief time unforgettable, romantic, vibrant, emotional, and happy.  It’s a joyful, creative and vigorous season in which everything is fresh and new as a cloud in the sky with pink color. It is a stage of vigor and strength in that we never thought it’s going to finish. It’s a spring stage with a radiant sunshine in the morning in which everything has a beautiful look. But we must also recognize that the youth is also a time full of struggles, concerns, and never free of uncertainties, jealousy, fears, competencies, rivalries and anxieties. It is as a race we must compete for a coveted trophy; to know that this long awaited trophy is fleeting, ephemeral, rusts, and perishable. It is the cause because I advise the youth to fight for the true trophy that is "the eternal life in Heaven ".There we will enjoy of a joy that never ends, while in this life the joys are fleeting. Remember everybody that we don’t know with certainty when the youth leaves us, it’s a time in that everything slows down your gear or stops without hurry within ourselves.
Let me tell you that the maturity is not exactly the noon or the night of life; rather it is that vague point of life that arrives in the smiling springs of a beautiful afternoon. Do not forget that the reach maturity, almost all the doubts and uncertainties that we had when we were young cease. The treasure of the youth is gone soon to not return. Maturity is the art of living in peace with what is impossible to change. The old age is the decline of a day full of illusions. But keep in mind that the soul never gets old, even though the external body deteriorates. This is why we should never stop the desire to live and dream.  We are old when we close the mind to new ideas and we become radical. We are old when we only think in ourselves and forget the others. We are old when we cease to fight. We are old when we stop our ablutions daily. In the youth we learn, in the maturity we understand, and in old age, we enjoy. Remember, young is the one who is able to fascinate and marvel with the blessings of God and his creation and that as a child always ask questions although he or her is old. I tell you that all of us want to live for many years, but none of us want aging. The old age is beautiful when we enjoyed it with the Lord Jesus Christ. I don’t Know in what stage of life you find yourself, but whatever I know you need for Jesus Christ! Please repeat with me this prayer of faith:

Heavenly Father, I believe in the perfect sacrifice that you did on the cross for humanity. I know that I am a sinner; please forgive me all my sins, clean me with your precious blood. Make me a new creature.
I accepted You in my heart as my Lord and personal Savior because I know that you died on the cross for me to get me away from the slavery of sin. And I also know that You rose from the dead, and You are in Heaven now. Please write my name in the Book of Life so that I can be in Heaven with You forever. And I ask all this in your holy name, O Lord Jesus Christ, Amen."

With love,
