Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain
of what we do not see.
Hebrews
11:1
Beloved family and friends of
the Blog, today I want to share a message about God’s will and faith, written
by John Mason, I hope you apply it to your lives.
We realize that there are people that we know that are
in the same place they were fifteen years ago, carrying the same dreams, same
baggage, same problems, the same way of thinking, the same opportunities, and
the same excuses. Why don’t these people go anywhere? This is because they
forgot that God’s will for all of us is that we grow in all areas; that we
constantly be learning as if we were going to live forever and to live as if we
were going to die tomorrow. The person that stops learning becomes old, whether
they’re twenty years old or eighty. If you think the cost education is
expensive, you should see the cost of ignorance. Therefore we should go the
extra mile, do a bit more:
Don’t just hear, listen.
Don’t just agree, participate.
Don’t just talk, communicate.
Don’t just grow, flourish.
Don’t just spend, invest.
Don’t just think, act.
Don’t just work, stand out and excel.
Don’t just share, give.
Don’t just speak, discern.
Don’t just forgive, forget.
Don’t just help, serve.
Don’t just coexist, reconcile.
Don’t just sing, worship.
Don’t just dream, act on it.
Don’t just see, perceive.
Don’t just read, apply what you read.
Don’t just choose, focus.
Don’t just receive, return.
Don’t just wish, believe.
Don’t just give advice, help.
Don’t just talk, minister.
Don’t just encourage, inspire.
Don’t just add, multiply.
Don’t just change, improve.
Don’t just ponder, pray.
We need a lot of faith to achieve. Therefore let’s be
a people of faith. To lament is to look back, to worry is to look around you,
but faith is to look up. Your life will be bigger or smaller depending on your
faith. Faith is action; it’s never a passive attitude. The world says that you
have to see something to believe it, but faith says you must believe to see.
The great modern plague is doubt, but faith is the antidote. True faith is
believing everything the Word of God says. Don’t just look at the circumstances,
but look at the God’s promises. What are you focusing on? I encourage you to
look at God’s promises because He never fails.
! God never fails! That’s
true. Time and time again we see the evidence of this in our lives and the
lives of those around us. Learn to be sensitive to the Word of God and be
attentive to the things that happen around you. The Lord wants us to live in
obedience and in faith and He will give us a life of abundance and joy, the joy
of being with Him. Do you want to lead a life like this?
With
love,
Maria Fanny Agudelo
