My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

WHAT A BLESSING IT IS TO LIVE IN THE HOLY PRESENCE OF GOD

What a blessing it is to live in the holy presence of God. Let us enjoy it because it is within our hearts' reach. Allow us, Father, to impact the world with your love. We long for our souls to be illuminated by the sun of goodness. While you have us on earth, we will speak of what you, Lord, give us. Let us fill our hearts with ambitions of love because they are for the Lord.

We are filled, Father God, because you want to take us there. Misguided brothers of the world, if only we knew what we lose by not following the Lord our God.

Father God, fill my heart with the delights of your love. We want to live in the presence of the Lord, and no power in heaven or on earth can forbid it. We are the pilgrims who joyfully follow you along the beautiful paths of the Lord.

All the animals are your creatures, Lord, but in a very special way for me are the little birds that sing to you every morning. Praise God!

Look, wayward brother, you can be saved. Seek the Lord of life; He will not despise you. You could come with me so that we may share the delights of the Lord, for there is nothing better than following the beautiful paths of our God.

Dear brothers and sisters of the world, we could do more to reach the souls we wish to entrust to the Lord. The tasks you have given us, Father God, are all beautiful and wonderful in the fields of the Lord.

I wish to conclude by giving a big hug to those who read this message and share it in society.

Sincerely,

José Joaquín Agudelo

GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN

Hello family and friends. I'd like to tell you that life absorbs us so much that we don't even realize the years go by. So, I thought my life was over, that the days of new experiences and surprises were behind me. But when I saw my grandchildren and great-grandchildren, I understood there was so much more to learn, so much more to feel, and so much more to live. They came into my life like a ray of sunshine, illuminating everything in their path.

It's impressive how grandchildren and great-grandchildren can change grandmothers and great-grandmothers in such a short time. The change is such that we fall in love with a small being who looks with eyes full of curiosity, and with every step they take, we feel like we are witnessing something very special. This is something we had never experienced before. My grandchildren and great-grandchildren have renewed my life, given me many perspectives, and taught me that love has the ability to heal any wound. Every time they play with me, they remind me how important it is to enjoy the little moments with them. Sometimes I tell them something about my childhood, and they listen attentively, even though they sometimes seem to miss the point. However, every word, every laugh they share fills me with profound peace, and through them, I see the world through the eyes of a child again, realizing how fortunate I am to be able to experience this stage of my life.

Even though my days become quieter and more peaceful, I feel more alive than ever thanks to my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their hugs give me grace and the strength to keep going, and their happiness is my greatest motivation. I want them to grow up knowing that I will always support them and be here for them every step of the way. I will also give them all the love I have for them. Being by their side is a gift from God and a reminder of what truly matters in life, which is God and family, accompanied by love and time spent together. As they grow, so does my love for them; no matter what the future holds, we will always be united in love.

We must always take great care of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers, always, always. They teach us how to mend relationships, mend our hearts, mend family wounds, fight for what is worthwhile, and re-evaluate the value of life. They are a well of experience and wisdom, as long as we stay connected to the Source of Life, Jesus Christ.

God bless us all!

With much love,

María Fanny Agudelo
