Hello family
and friends. Today I want to talk to you a little about the Lord JESUS CHRIST
as we are celebrating and remembering his Passion, death, and resurrection in
these difficult times.
Before going
into talking about the person of JESUS himself, let's start with his
promises, which are many and promising. Let us not allow problems to absorb us
so much that we only talk about them, rather let us get up focused on the
promises of JESUS CHRIST and say like the prophet David: I am down, but You
are my rock; I have nothing, but You are my provider; I feel sad, but you are
my comfort, but you are my castle. You are the one who opens paths. You fight
my battles. You defend me from my enemies; but I have not seen the righteous
forsaken; but You are my shepherd and nothing will be lacking for me; but You
are my shelter; but You are my rescue; but You are my portion; but you are my
blessing. Here I only mention a few, but their promises are many and I have
heard that there are three hundred and sixty-five in the Psalms alone, but I do
not know if this is true because I have not counted them yet, what I do know is
that they are consoling and comforting because the One who does them is the
Almighty.
Remember
that the battles of life are continuous and are not won by the strongest, but
by the one who at no time doubts that it is God who gives victory. Let us not
forget that there is no way to return the time that has passed to correct our
mistakes, but there is time and this is the right moment to put our lives in
God's hands. Sometimes it is necessary for life to shake us hard to realize
that the time that God allows us forward is not to waste it, but to invest it
loving God and our neighbor. If you want to change the world, go home and give
lots of love to your family. This is what we need to practice more.
Did you know
what the Gospel is? The gospel is not motivation, it is salvation; it is not
empowerment, it is repentance; It's not self-promotion, it's self-denial; it is
not material wealth, it is spiritual wealth; it is not greatness, it is purity;
it is not accumulating, it is giving; it is not prosperity, it is holiness; it
is not opulence, it is obedience; it is not to be a winner, it is to be a
server; It is not ambition, it is consecration. The Gospel is not about us, it
is about JESUS CHRIST.
In chapter
10 of the book of Hebrews in the Bible the salvific work of JESUS is
summarized. Through the offering of the body of JESUS CHRIST once for all, we
are sanctified, justified, forgiven, saved, redeemed, and blessed (Hebrews
10:10). JESUS is the Lamb of God immolated for us to take away the sin of the
world (John 1:29). But this perfect sacrifice/offering operates on everyone who
wants to believe and receive JESUS in their heart. And CHRIST having offered
once for all a single sacrifice (his own life) for sins, has sat down at the
right hand of God (Hebrews 10:12). This clearly highlights the resurrection of JESUS
who sat on his throne after he ascended into Heaven (Acts 1:9).
I tell you
that talking about JESUS CHRIST is good, but talking with JESUS CHRIST is
better. So go to him in prayer and let you be found in his love. Take advantage
of this Easter time to enter into conversation with God and begin to value and
accept the great work of the cross.
BLESSED HOLY
WEEK!
HAPPY
EASTER!
With love,
