My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

THERE ARE GREAT HAPPENINGS THAT I WANT TO TALK ABOUT

The direction of our thoughts determines the place where we will spend eternity. Just as you hear it – yes – it’s that easy! For as man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). It is easy to know the Way, that is, unless you don’t want to, but that would be a whole nother story.  But we know the way and we want to know it more. We won’t let go of You Father God; we now realize what a privilege it is to follow Your beautiful Way of Love. These are our thoughts, and I don’t know why there would be anyone who thought differently than us about these things. But great things happen to us who believe, great and wondrous things to tell our brethren and friends, like the following testimony:
About one month ago, I fell and hit myself really hard against the pavement and I felt l like I ruptured my rib cage in four different places; one of them was the breaking of a rib. I was in so much pain that it even hurt when I spoke. It was impossible to cough. The doctor’s advice was to take this position: recline my chest against a pillow; that’s how I was able to get along. But listen to what happened next. I was praying in the night when I felt a warmth that ran through all of my affected area. And all of a sudden my ripped rib was healed and I don’t know how. It didn’t hurt to cough and I was able to turn from side to side in bed easily. What I am sure of is that the Lord Jesus put his divine hand in the affected area.
Daddy God gives us so many beautiful things, that I just can’t keep them inside and I have to tell you beautiful things as well. Thank You my good Lord for remembering me. Our whole life is a miracle, but this last one is special. It’s the first time it happened to me and it was awesome. Who am I that You, O Lord, would look upon me with love? And who are humans that You would come down from Your throne? And what is man that You should remember him?
I know Lord, it’s all out of love!
Cordially,

BEAUTIFUL DIALOGUE

Hello family and friends. Today I want to tell everybody, but especially dads a beautiful dialogue that I found in my archive:
“After a long and hard day at his job, my mom placed a plate of sandwiches and toast in front of my dad, but they were burnt. I remember that I was waiting to see if anyone would notice it; however, although my father noticed, he did not say anything; he only grabbed a piece of bread, smiled at my mom, and asked me ‘how was school?’  I don’t remember how I answered, but I do remember him putting jam on the burnt bread and eating it all. When I got up from the table that night, I remember having heard my mother apologize to my dad for the burnt bread. I will never forget what my dad answered, ‘dear, don’t worry, sometimes I like it like that.’
That night I went to give my dad a good-night-kiss and I asked him if he liked burnt bread. He hugged me and said, ‘Your mother had a hard day at work and is very tired; anyway, a little burnt bread never harmed anyone. Life is full of imperfect things and accepting mistakes and deciding to understand everyone’s differences is one of the most important things in order to create a healthy and lasting relationship. A burnt piece of bread should never break a noble heart. Understanding and tolerance are the base of any good relationship. Therefore, I advise you, son, to be more loving that necessary, for everyone is always fighting some type of battle. We all have issues, and we are learning to live, although, some people misuse their time and don’t learn to live.
Remember that the Way to God is not easy or wide. There are detours (meant to get you off of God’s Way); they are called mistakes. There are stop lights called friends. And warning lights called family. Do you know how to get through to the end? With a replacement tire called decision, a strong motor called love, a good insurance called faith, and a lot of gasoline called patience. But the most important thing is a good driver called Jesus.’”
What great advice! Let us pray to God so that all dads will be sensible like this child’s father.
“As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.” (Psalm 103:13)
Now it’s the child’s turn to give advice:
“Remember dad, that if you don’t play with me now, by the time you want to, I’ll have already grown up. The harmony between you and mom will give me security in life and make me victorious in life. My capacity to love when I am an adult depends upon your love. I am happy when you carry me to bed. What I learn with you, I will remember all my life. If we pray together, I will learn to communicate with God. The love and respect that you show to others will be the love and respect that I show to others. I also have personal interests: I like to take part in the family decisions and I need you as my best friend.”
Happy Father’s Day!
With love,
