My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

 THE BIBLE

Hello family and friends. Today I want to tell you that the Bible is the best book in the world, the most true, the most translated into thousands of languages, the wisest, the most delightful and perfect, and the most wholesome. Why? Because it was inspired and given by the Holy Spirit, because it also brings life, creates faith, produces change, works miracles, heals wounds, builds up character, transforms circumstances, imparts joy, overcomes adversity, defeats temptation, instills hope, releases power, cleanses our minds, defeats the devil, and guarantees our future forever. So I advise you to read Joshua 1:8 many times: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Do not forget that the Bible has also been the most persecuted and mistreated book of all time, so much so that many countries around the world have built bonfires of Bibles and yet they have not been able to destroy it. Why? Because those who oppose God are lost in their ignorance, and they fail to realize that God is the Almighty, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Please keep this in mind: Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, recognized that we need a Savior. Muhammad did not even know the purpose of life, and Buddha told his followers to seek the truth. Confucius acknowledged and said that he was

not the way. But Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Did you know that we are living in very difficult times, but if we enter the presence of the Lord with heartfelt praise, He will enter our circumstances with power. This generation must be made to know and understand that Jesus Christ is the truth and the life, and that if they wish to understand much more, they must turn to the Holy Bible, which is the Book of books. Do not let the problems of life consume you so much that you only talk about them; rather, let us rise up focused on the promises of God and say like the prophet David: I am cast down, but You are my rock; I have nothing, but You are my provider; I feel sad, but You are my Comforter, because You are my Fortress, my Rock; You are the One who makes a way and fights my battles; You defend me from my enemies; You are my shepherd and I shall not want, because You have been my refuge and the wiper of my tears, because You have been my ransom and my portion forever. I ask You for a heart vast enough to love the whole world.

With love,

Grandma Fanny

 IS SALVATION EASY OR DIFFICULT?

Dear brother, today I want to speak to you about this matter found in the Word of God, for only the Word of God can tell us whether salvation is easy or difficult. How do we interpret the Word of God? When you read it, you will find that salvation seems exceedingly easy, just as it is expressed in the Bible in the Book of Acts, chapter 2, verse 21: "And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." And also in chapter 4, verse 12, it says: "And there is no salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved." However, we also find passages that show it is not quite so easy, such as the Epistle of James, chapter 2, verse 9, which warns us: "But if you show partiality, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors." And in chapter 2, verses 17 and 18, it says: "Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, 'You have faith, and I have works.' Show me your faith without

your works, and I will show you my faith by my works." I would venture to give you this advice: let us surrender our whole hearts to the Lord. Perhaps He will not hold against us those doubts we may have due to a lack of knowledge of God, as long as they do not stem from malice. For the Word of God cannot be taken verse by verse in isolation; rather, we must consider the entirety of the Word of God within its broader context. Therefore, the true assurance of our salvation is this: let us go with Jesus Christ, for He has bought us at the price of His shed blood so that we may share in His glory. Blessed be the Savior.

MESSAGE OF LOVE

MESSAGE OF LOVE

I

The stirrings of the heart

are powerful weapons

in the holy presence

of the Blessed Lord.

II

Messages of love

are meant for all humanity;

let no one remain in silence,

as we journey toward the hereafter.

III

That place is called Heaven,

where we all shall dwell,

in the arms of the Lord,

throughout all eternity.

IV

What a precious hope!

We must never cast it aside,

for it is a beautiful gift

bestowed upon us by the Lord.

V

We long to spend each moment of this life

in the Lord’s companionship,

forever and ever.

VI

Whoever calls upon

the name of the Lord

shall be saved.

VII

To believe in the Lord Jesus Christ

is certain salvation;

and when we depart this world,

the great comfort we find

is His sweet, abiding love.

VIII

Let us live in the present,

for the future belongs to the Lord,

since He is our Sovereign Master

throughout all eternity.

IX

We continually speak of eternity, eternity,

and all we truly know

is that soon we shall dwell there,

in the place we are destined for;

for if we journey with the Lord, He will never fail.

X

Our true place is Heaven,

a truth we cannot doubt,

and we rejoice so greatly in this hope

as we journey to the hereafter.

WHAT ARE BOOKS?

WHAT ARE BOOKS?

Hello family and friends. A good book is light because it illuminates the mind. The moon is light because it shines on us at night, the sun is light because it illuminates the earth, but the true light is the Holy Spirit, for it is He who enlightens the soul, the mind, and our entire being.

The Bible is the most important book on planet Earth; it is the most profound and transformative truth in our lives. Books are teachers without rods, without shouts, and without anger; if you approach them, you will never find them busy, if you ask them something, they never evade the answer, if you make a mistake, they never grumble. A good book is light because it illuminates the mind. Warning, warning: reading seriously harms ignorance!

If by the age of seventy you haven't read anything, then you have lived only one life: your own. But a good reader has lived five thousand years. Those who stop reading also stop learning, because it will always be important in our lives to trust in God and keep the mind young.

If you don't like to read, don't do it; reading is a way to feel happy, but no one should be forced to be happy. Books accompany you and help you think, and they allow you to observe many lives different from your own.

Here is some good advice I give you: just as a comma can change a sentence, an attitude can change a life. Read the Holy Bible frequently, which is the word of God, so that your faith may not rest on human wisdom, but on the power of God (First Epistle to the Corinthians chapter 2 verse 5).

Books may not make you more intelligent, but they will make you less ignorant. Remember: the most important thing is not what you have done, but what you will do from now on.

The greatest wealth in this life is to have the peace of God in your soul, good health, and much love for your neighbor. Do not forget that happiness is internal, not external; therefore, it does not depend on what we have, but on who we are. A person's true value lies not in a head full of knowledge, but in a heart full of love, ears willing to listen, and hands open to help.

Do not forget this: although money may be lacking, it never heals a wound. Seek God first, and peace for your mind, and you will find health for your body. Do not forget that: in darkness, God is your light; in the storm, God is your peace; in sorrow, God is your strength; in loneliness, God is your companionship.

LET US REFLECT ON OUR EXISTENCE

LET US REFLECT ON OUR EXISTENCE

I

The Lord is our longing

to live and to understand,

the greatness of our Master,

full of love and power.

II

The morning sun,

how brightly it shines!

Like the sun of our life,

that never ceases to shine.

III

We are filled with joy

and also with wonder,

as we journey through life

while these moments pass by.

IV

Our heart bows down

before the power of the Gospel;

it is wondrous to behold

the things of eternity.

V

Our King is the Lord,

there is no doubt at all;

let us journey with Him,

for His tenderness is infinite.

VI

And why do I exist?

I always ask myself this question;

the answer is clear:

because Someone willed it so,

and truly, I have a Master.

PROMISES OF THE LORD

PROMISES OF THE LORD

Today I want to share with you a beautiful reflection that highlights God’s promises for those of us who seek Him and believe in Him. Do not let your problems consume you so much that you only talk about them; rather, let us rise up focused on the Lord’s promises and say, like the prophet David: I am downcast, but You are my rock; I have nothing, but You are my provider; I am sorrowful, but You are my Comforter; You are my fortress, You are my rock, You are the One who opens the way, You fight my battles, You defend me from my enemies, You are my Shepherd and I shall lack nothing, You are my shelter and the One who dries my tears, You are my deliverance, You are my blessing.

The battles of life are unceasing, and they are not won by the strongest, but by the one who never doubts the Lord, for He is the One who grants us victory. Let us not forget that we cannot turn back time to correct our past mistakes, but there is still time, and this very moment is the time to place your life in God’s hands. Time is slow when we wait, fast when we are running late, agonizing when we are sad, short when you are happy, endless when you are in pain, long when you are bored, and beautiful when you are in love. Time always dictates how you feel.

The Gospel is not motivation; the Gospel is salvation. It is not empowerment, but repentance; not self-promotion, but self-denial; not material wealth, but spiritual riches; not greatness, but purity; not accumulation, but giving; not prosperity, but holiness; not ambition, but consecration; not opulence, but obedience; not about being a winner, but being a servant. The Gospel is not about us; it is about Jesus Christ. Sometimes life needs to shake us hard so we realize that the time we have left is not meant to be wasted.

So I’ll tell you this: talking about God is very good, but talking with God is even better. So I simply want to achieve my dreams, push past my limits, triumph with the Lord’s help, and be better than I was yesterday. If you wish to change the world, go home and love your family deeply. This is exactly what we are missing.

Remember: Your circumstances cannot change the Word of God, but the Word of God can change your circumstances.

THE GREAT MADNESS OF LOVE

THE GREAT MADNESS OF LOVE

I

The Lord’s mad loves,

I cannot count them,

I only feel them

like a heavenly feast.

II

Yesterday in the morning,

while everyone slept,

my heart delighted

in melodious harmony.

III

The fragrant scent of the clear sky,

with longing we savor

the delights of His love,

which only in Him we find.

IV

We journey through divine realms,

with hope and yearning,

longing for the blessed God,

the wellspring of our comfort.

V

I do not settle

for the delights of the world,

I love to guide my thoughts

into the deepest depths.

VI

In the Lord’s own fields,

all that I think turns into

sweet melodies of love

that enchant my mind.

VII

The thoughts given by the Lord

are all so beautiful;

amidst life’s gentle charms,

we enjoy them to the fullest.

VIII

Dear Father God, I want to write you

fresh little verses today;

do not hold back my words,

for I long to speak to you so sweetly.

IX

Holy Father,

your friendship is so lovely,

that I hardly know how to tell you

in this sea of happiness.

X

In this great longing for love,

we place ourselves in Your Holy Presence.

Hold back nothing, Father,

take us with You into eternity.
