My husband and I were raised in Catholic families in Colombia, and from an early age our parents taught us the fundamental moral principles of the Catholic religion. But on April of 1989, when we were born again, we began to understand the true meaning of being a Christian and since then our relationship with God has become more personal. Since then we began to write. José Joaquin wrote reflections about the love of God and messages of hope for humanity, and I wrote wise advice for all families everywhere.

LENT 2025 AND FORGIVENESS

Hello family and friends. During this Lent of 2025, I want to give you some advice. I hope it will be of some use to your lives. First of all: let us repent and ask God for forgiveness. Let us say to Him: Lord, change me, because when I change, others change too. I love to see people happy and successful, since life is a journey, not a competition.

Don't forget that the practice of forgiveness is vital for our emotional and spiritual health. Without forgiveness, the family becomes a sea of conflict and a refuge for sorrow. Without forgiveness, the family becomes sick. Forgiveness is the asepsis of the soul, the cleansing of the mind, and the euphoria of the heart. Those who do not forgive have no peace in their soul or communion with God. Sadness is a poison that intoxicates and kills. Holding pain in your heart is a gesture that slowly destroys you. Those who do not forgive become sick physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Thus, the family needs to be a place of life, not death, a place of healing, not illness, a place of forgiveness, not guilt. Forgiveness brings joy where sorrow has produced sadness, pain, and illness.

Don't forget that depression is frozen anger, gastritis is undigested anger, high blood pressure is circulating anger, and joint pain is pent-up pain. So if you are upset for more than a day, illness will come. Remember that God says: "Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry" (Ephesians 4:26). So cleanse, release, shake off, and free yourself from resentment because the Holy Spirit will do the rest perfectly and correctly.

My wish is that JESUS CHRIST be born in your heart and His Spirit remain with you forever, that families be blessed, and that love and hope reign in your home.

BLESSED HOLY WEEK!

BLESSED EASTER SUNDAY!

With much love,

María Fanny Agudelo
